The 'second coming of Christ'... but this time from within?

Finding the light within

I had what seemed like a very significant meeting the day before the Solstice, with a man on top of a hill.

I knew something was afoot because of certain signs and synchronicities that led me there – and this feeling of being ‘rooted to the spot’ by the energies when I sat down a few feet away from him, at the Summit of this little-known energy-centre in Somerset. (I could have moved, of course, but I’d had this feeling of being rooted to the spot before… and had come to trust that it was because I had something important to do or say).

I’d learnt about an hour before that a long-term and much loved ex-partner of mine (whose only child, it transpired, had the same, rather unusual name as this man), had died the day before. And it felt to me almost like my newly departed ex had ‘gifted’ me with this meeting (almost like a ‘parting gift’… stranger things have happened!)

Anyway, what ensued between us was a conversation that felt like it was ‘meant to happen’. And there’s something in it for all of us, I think - and that’s why I’m sharing it here.

This man had a Jesus-like energy about him (a certain ‘energy signature’). His deep brown eyes spoke of a profound compassion for humanity and a deep and authentic power emanated from him that seemed forged of many years of following the path of his soul.

He said he felt that a lot of people felt very lost right now, something that I acknowledged. And as he spoke I felt this weight of responsibility around him. And he mentioned signs that revealed to him that it might be the time for a ‘second coming’ of some sort.

I found myself sharing my perspective on this. I spoke of what I felt was birthing right now with ‘the Christmas star’ (the planetary alignment of the next day). For me, I said, it signified, (rather than the birth of Christ, or the ‘second coming’ - an actual, physical return of Jesus to the Earth plane) the ‘birth of the Christ within’. I expressed that I didn’t feel we needed the ‘second coming’ of Christ in the physical any more. ‘What the Aquarian Age is all about, it seems to me, is about finding the light inside us.’

And that, I realise, is what ‘enlightenment’ is about for me: ‘In-light-enment’. The light is within us. And not just in some of us, it’s in all of us. And enlightenment is about finding this light and shining it for others, so that they, too, can find their way out of the darkness.

And that, for me, is what this new birth into the Aquarian energies really represents. Sometimes we need times like these, when we’re brought to our knees, to find the resources deep within. And, however captivating a Christ figure might be for us now and however compelling as a leader, we don’t need a Saviour now. We don’t need the ‘second coming of Christ’ in physical form. What we need is to find ‘the Christ light’ within. And I’m not speaking from a Christian point of view here, necessarily - not even a religious one. I’m speaking from a universal viewpoint and an awareness of the light within all of our souls.

And that’s the transition we are making right now, as a race. From the Piscean energies of looking outside ourselves for answers (perhaps through gurus and the like), to the Aquarian, where we find it in ourselves. And it’s a big transition! And, of course, it happens gradually. We don’t suddenly move into a new Age when two planets come into alignment (it would probably be too much for us) – it really comes in waves. But most people would perhaps acknowledge that there was a definite change in energy and emphasis with the great conjunction two days ago.

And, of course, sometimes we need others to point the way. But what we don’t need is teachers who lead in the old ‘Piscean’ way. What we need now is leaders who lead by inspiring us to be the best we can be, by empowering us to find the answers that we have within us!

Because the incoming Aquarian energies are starting to spark our own lights now. We’re starting to find the energy of our own uniqueness inside. And what this world needs now is for us to excavate this, dig deep and start to express our own unique light in the world.

And these new Aquarian energies can help support us in moving into a new way of life that is more complete, whole and directed from within. And of course it won’t always be plain sailing, but at least we will be sailing from the direction of our own ‘inner compass’, not being tossed around on the seas trying to find the answers outside of ourselves.

But let’s get back to my meeting on the hill. It was like this message of the Piscean and the Aquarian, as well as the message about us all having the light within had to be spoken. And then, as quickly as the feeling of being rooted to the spot had come, the flow picked up and moved me off again.

We said our goodbyes, hands on heart, with a mutual blessing and I was on my way. I was changed by that meeting. And I had cemented in my mind, at least for now, what the ‘'Star of Bethlehem’ of the next day had come to signify for me.
