Could I become my own life coach?

A friend of mine shared at the weekend that she was thinking about getting a life coach. She wanted to become more conscious about the choices she was making in her life and wondered what I thought. I told her that, though I was trained as a life coach, this wasn't what I'd recommend to her, for two reasons. First, because I've always found it good practice to observe clear boundaries between my therapeutic and my day-to-day relationships and so I wouldn't be able take her on as a client, however informally. Second, because I wanted to recommend something different to her: something that I've just written my first Kindle e-book on, in fact. Co-counselling.Though started in the 1960s, co-counselling has really come into its own of late - at least as  I see it. Why? Because, once trained, you gain a method of working on yourself where you can effectively ‘become your own life coach’. And that's the reason why I've called the book, surprise, surprise: Become Your Own Life Coach in 40 Hours. In a sense, you’re also gaining ‘free therapy for life' - and access to a growing worldwide network of similarly trained co-counsellors, with whom you can practise, one-to-one, in person, or on skype or by phone for free. And that’s surely not to be sniffed at, in these times of austerity (where many don’t have the disposable income to fork out on conventional therapy). It’s also a great tool for self-help – you gain a great set of useful skills for your ongoing self- and spiritual development - and, if you train with Little White Feather, a whole lot of tools and skills that we've gathered along the way, too.Co-counselling can become a lifelong self-maintenance programme, a means of maintaining mental and emotional equilibrium and discovering new and wonderful things about the magnificent being that is you!You can access the e-book by clicking this link. Download the Kindle app for free on the Amazon site and you can read it on almost any device! And if you do download it, please do leave a review on the Amazon page where you bought the book - it helps people decide whether the book's for them!If you're interested in training in this empowering discipline, a few places a still available on our next London training - starts December 2nd. Drop us an email, or connect on Facebook or Twitter to book your place.
